FG ITF Skill-Up Artisans (SUPA) Program 2025

The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) invites Nigerians interested in learning handworks to register for the next phase of the Skill-Up Artisans (SUPA) program.
SUPA is designed to empower artisans with tech-driven training, official licensing, access to essential toolkits, and promoting industry standards to elevate skills, enhance craftsmanship, and drive professional excellence across sectors.
The Skill-Up Artisans (SUPA) Programme 2025 is an initiative by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) aimed at empowering artisans with tech-driven training, official licensing, and access to essential toolkits. Here's what you need to know:
Program Objectives
- Identify, register, and categorize handworks across different sectors
- Provide comprehensive industry-standard compliant training programs
- Enable artisans to access essential tools, equipment, and funds
- Ensure Nigerian artisans are certified, licensed, and operate using standardized methods
- Enhance employment opportunities for artisans in local and international markets
Eligibility and Categories
The program is open to Nigerian nationals who can register under three categories ¹:
- Artisan: Already trained and producing on their own, looking to promote products and get government assistance
- Intending Artisan: Not yet trained, looking to learn a trade and become an artisan
- Training Center: Organizations providing vocational skills training, interested in becoming training providers for the program

- Masonry
- Painting and Decoration
- Designing
- POP (Plaster of Paris)
- Animal Husbandry
- Waiter
- Floor Supervisor
- Sewing and Cutting
- Roofing
- Iron Steel and Reinforcement
- Post Harvest
- Plumbing and Pipe Fitting
- Tilling
- Electric Installation
- Welding and Fabrication
- Carpentry and Joinery
- Crop Production
- Poultry Farming
- Automobile Mechanic
- Cyber Security
- Front Desk Officer
Application Process
To apply, visit the SUPA registration portal (supa.itf.gov.ng/register) and follow these steps:
- Register and create an account
- Choose your category (Artisan, Intending Artisan, or Training Center)
- Fill in basic information, sector, and trade
- Complete additional fields and submit your application
Program Updates
The ITF has begun onboarding the next batch of trainees, targeting 100,000 new artisans. The program is structured in three phases: Foundation, SUPA I, and SUPA II, with SUPA I focusing on soft skills and SUPA II providing technical and entrepreneurial training.
Intending trainees wishing to undertake training of their choice in the above listed trades are to log onto this ITF portal, https://supa.itf.gov.ng/register for registration. The training and registration is FREE.
All intending trainees are to NOTE that those wishing to learn a vocation for the first time are to fill the portion for INTENDED ARTISAN while those with some prior knowledge/Skill but wish to upskill are to fill out the portion for ARTISAN.
Application Closing Date
The ITF SUPA application form portal closes on the 1st of May, 2025.
